Our scheme of learning

We use the NCETM curriculum prioritisation documents for teaching Maths.  As we have mixed classes, the topics do not always match.  Wherever possible, teachers teach the same topic at the same time but when the two year groups need to learn different things, the teacher works with the two groups separately.  Teachers use a variety of resources to support the teaching.  Here are the elements which our Maths lessons cover.

The Year 4 Multiplication Check 

Children in Year 4 take a test in June to assess their times tables knowledge.  This booklet gives you further information about what the test involves.  Please help by encouraging your child to practise their times tables.  There are a number of websites which will help.
