Reading

Children should read 5 times per week, either to an adult at home, in school or by themselves. Adults will hear year 5 children read on Thursday and year 6 children on Fridays. On these days, reading journals will be checked.

Here are the scores children had to get last year in their SATs to get a standardised score of 100 (to reach age-related expectations).  This will give you an idea of how many marks your child needs to improve by in the forthcoming SATs tests in May.  Please contact Mrs Turnbull if you would like any guidance/support.
