Computing
At the Riverside Federation, we believe that a high-quality computing education is essential for equipping pupils with the skills necessary to navigate and transform the world around them. Our curriculum fosters a deep understanding of computational thinking and creativity, enabling pupils to make connections across the curriculum. Through the study of computer science, learners gain insights into the principles of information and computation, the workings of digital systems, and practical programming skills.
Building upon this foundational knowledge, pupils are empowered to utilise information technology in the creation of innovative programmes, systems, and a diverse range of digital content. Furthermore, we prioritise digital literacy, ensuring that our students can effectively engage with, express ideas through, and develop their concepts using information and communication technology, preparing them for both the future workplace and participation in an increasingly digital society.
We aim to inspire our pupils by showcasing the myriad ways technology enriches our lives. With a wealth of technological resources available, pupils will confidently explore the exciting possibilities that lie ahead in their learning journeys.
